Outreach

The Santa Clara Valley section is very active in community outreach. We have 3 annual, large scale events including GetSET, our week-long engineering program for high school girls.

SWE outreach events such as WOW! That’s Engineering!, Designing Women, and GetSET all aim to give girls that first introduction to engineering. Through engineering activities, lab and company tours, and just being around real life female engineers,  we open the eyes of otherwise unbeknownst girls and give them that first taste of engineering.

Below are short descriptions of our annual outreach events. For more information on a specific event, please visit the links on the right.
