Interested in joining SWE but confused about where to start? Here are 3 easy steps to help get you started!
1. Register for membership on swe.org
Most of our SWE events are free to the public, but we do have certain events that are only free to paid SWE members. To register as a paid SWE member, visit the national website at www.swe.org and click on the “Membership” link on the top menu. In addition to attending our events for free, paid membership gives you discounts to attend the national and regional conferences as well as give you access to National SWE’s database of employers as well as scholarship opportunities.
If you’re a member of other professional organizations such as SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) or NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), there is an option for joint membership in both organizations where your membership fee is discounted.
IMPORTANT! During your registration, you have the option to choose which section you want to be a member of. Make sure you check off Santa Clara Valley. This will allow us to keep track of who is in our section.
